The Book in a Day team will raise money for the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children by selling you “The Book” at $10.00 per copy. Book In a Day is a contest between teams of writers to produce a complete children’s book; write it, print it, and bind it, starting at 8am at some wilderness retreat with a secret envelope containing key words, names and places that must be included. At 8pm, finished or not, ‘The Book’ is placed in a sealed bag and handed to the judges. Book sales raise thousands of dollars each year for sick kiddies and spreads the reach of the Princess Margaret Hospital Charity. Last year, Bertie got left behind at a remote archeological site in the Kimberly, and after a fearful night hiding from howling dingoes, he only survived by hitching a ride on a fast-moving iron ore train. The best bit was just when he had figured his way onto the train, he realised it was going the wrong way and had to perform a death-defying (and very feathery) leap to a train rushing past in the opposite direction! (Bertie was a pet bantam) And the kids think we write these stories for them…. So order this years book today. Can’t tell you what its about, or even the title. But what is certain, is the money goes to help sick kiddies. Order online at smileyfaceaustralia.com Or just email me back and let me know. |
